Driveshafts (1-Denny's): 68 Camaro/LS1/T56
I have been through 3 driveshafts trying to solve a vibration problem on my 68 Camaro / T56 swap (non-Viper). All have been professionally built / balanced, but the vibration source turned out to be a bent mainshaft in the transmission.
All are 48-1/2" from centerline of rear u-joint cup to back of Transmission case. This is the suggested measurement technique from most driveshaft builders. U-joints are 1310 series Spicers, fr and rr.
I used Hooker headers engine mount plates, but modified the engine / tranny position about 1" rearward.
1) Denny's CrMo. 5 miles. Paid $350 last Thursday. sell for $250
2) Syracuse Driveshaft (includes '02 F-body vibration damper): 600 miles. Paid $150. sell for $100
