PM sent... Please let me know what part # you ordered from GM to get that crate motor. From there I will be able to figure out if this short block will work for me. I am seriosly interested and if this will work for me I can do the deal this week.

How do you know (other than taking the engine apart) which tooth wheel you have/need? Looks like I may be needing a replacement block for my 02 denali (6.0L lq4 iron block) and I would strongly consider this if it would work for me.

well, your truck being an 02, it will need a 24 tooth wheel. you would also need a cam sensor ext. harness.

it would be a very good replacement for your LQ4.

ohh and I am willing to meet you halfway if need be. PM me

I understand GM relocated the knock sensors on the LS2, and they're not in the lifter valley. Would pre-2005 knock sensors work on this engine, in order to use an existing non-LS2 PCM? Thanks for any info.

Interesting. Is there a specific cam sensor harness I could order or find used, or would I have to "custom" extend my wires myself?

What about knock sensors...where would the valley knock sensors on my lq4 need to go? IF this block has the knock sensor holes cast under the valley cover, then I could just use my lq4 cover and sensors. Otherwise, then...what would I do?

Any idea what compression ratio I'd be at with stock 317 heads and these pistons?
