Default TEA Stage 1.5 Heads F/S

Motor's out and heads are off, here's some info...

The heads are TEA 1.5 853 heads. Specs below from TEAs website...

CNC Port LS1 5.7 Head to Stage 1.5
3.900” Combustion Chamber (65.5cc chambers)
Competition Multi-Angle Valve Job
Blend Valve Job
Mill Heads to Customer Specs (on my motor, 10.3:1 compression with mahle flattop pistons with -2cc reliefs)
Flow Intake and Exhaust Ports
Heads Cleaned, Set Spring Heights, Assemble, Seat Pressure, Installed Height, and Coil Bind
Ferrea 2.020 Intake Valve
TEA Titanium Retainer
TEA Locators
GM Locks
GM Intake and Exhaust Valve Seals

Precision Race Components (PRC of TSP) Gold Dual Springs (with Ti retainers, seats & seals) are installed and come on the heads ($290 value). These were further ported at EMS (speed shop in FL where the previous owner had his work done). He said they flowed 312 cfm on the intake side at .600 lift, but I have no documentation of this. Considering everything in the car/motor has been exactly what he said, I believe this to be true about the heads as well. With these heads (10.3:1 CR), fast 90 intake, MS3 cam (237/242, .610~ lift), pacesetter LTs, and duals the car did 421rwhp/378tq through a 4l60e with a TCI 3500 converter and a stock 10 bolt.

$785 w/ shipping/paypal included for the pair assembled with the prc gold springs.

The heads have about 10K miles on them. I would think that since the stock 853 casting combustion chamber size is 66.7cc (correct me if I'm wrong) then these would guess that would hold true since the pistons in my motor are flat tops and have only a small -2cc relief in them? 10.3:1 compression with my -2cc pistons is what I was told. These were on the car when I bought them, but I can run them by a machine shop and get a true combustion chamber size if need be. If anything they are a little closer to 64cc, but I wouldn't think anyless. I don't think they've had much material taken off of the decks.

I'm going by there in the next couple days when my new heads are done and assembled. I'll have them checked out and let you know what I find out.

I was afraid that might happen! I almost decided to take the heads apart, reusing the springs on the new 317 heads I'm putting on the turbo build, but they're being assembled up at the machine shop right now with the same springs but new.

IF you want the heads minus springs and other hardware, I'll take $600 + shipping with the valves included.

$150 for the springs if this guy buys the heads separately.

Got the heads checked out tonight when I picked up my new ones. The combustion chamber size came out to be 65.5 cc in case anyone besides teke was interested...

Got the heads flowed...numbers are as follows...

Intake Exhaust
.200 125 92
.300 187 143
.400 238 178
.500 279 203
.600 299.49 219
.700 282 228

The headporter that flow'd the heads said they were CNC'd heads and were handfinished. He was impressed with the numbers, especially on the exhaust side, for an 853 casting head.
