Default Packing and shipping heads and complete engine?

Just wondering what you have seen that works, and what doesn't. I need to send a set of heads and a complete engine and I don't want any packaging or shipping problems. I appreciate any and all tips.
thanks,
Michael

for the motor i put mine on a pallet and plastic wraped the **** out of it.
for the heads i would put in a form fitting box, then into another box with a lot of padding. and taped up real good.

How did you secure the motor to the pallet? Maybe I'll use some scrap metal strips and bolt it to the motor and pallet?
Who would you recommend for shipping?
Thanks,
Michael

yes i used old metal strips. i used fed ex frieght but that was expensive. unless you can have the person pick it up at there docks or airport it is much cheaper.

Default shipping

I shipped a complete rearend. I built a lightweight wood box with wood supports inside and shipped it Yellow Freight Co. to a loading dock in the buyers town. Hope that helps.
