Default For Sale: GZ Motorsports Race Vacuum Pump, + EXTRAS for free

For sale is a GZ Motorsports Vacuum Pump for C5/C6 Corvettes. I ran this pump for a very short while before coming into a good deal on a centrifugal supercharger. The vacuum pump unfortunately has to go as it takes the spot of where the supercharger housing needs to be. This kit performs very well. Vacuum settings can easily be adjusted via the valve on the driver's side valve cover. Here is some more information of the kit: http://www.gzmotorsports.com/LSXVPK.html

Here are some pictures of it on the car and the extras that come with the kit. I ran the kit with an LS6 valley cover and pulled vacuum from the valley cover tube. You can set up the kit to pull vacuum from the driver's side valve cover also if desired. Everything in the pictures will ship with the sale. The items will be professionally packed and shipped.

Yes, I had it set to pull 12 inches of vacuum at the top of a shift (6200rpm). This was on an LS1 with a high lift LG Motorsports camshaft and measured with a vacuum gauge. The adjustment **** on the valve cover however was not anywhere near the fully opened setting. The pump has capability of pulling much more vacuum if needed. On their website, GZ Motorsports states this:

Net vacuum in a wet sump drag race engine should not exceed 15" hg max at maximum rpm. Many engine builders recommend 10" to 12". Dry sump engines can be run at 20" hg net. Check your vacuum on the dyno or on the track. Install a vacuum control valve if you exceed recommended vacuum level. (This control valve comes with the kit)

On a stock LS1 it showed just over 10rwhp on a DynoJet dyno when the pump was being used.

I showed just over 10 rwhp gain on the DynoJet dyno. That is on a stock LS1 engine. A buddy of mine uses the same setup on his big cam N/A 408 and showed a much greater rwhp increase on the dyno. Guys with power adders such as turbos see the greatest results. In the power adder setups, some of the boost pressure usually seeps past the piston's rings. The pump creates a vacuum in the crankcase which seals the rings more tightly and having no pressure in the crankcase makes for no resistance for the piston to move downward in the combustion cycle. This is a setup I really wish I could keep. I would need to do a lot of fabricating though to relocate it to the other side of the engine and still keep the Procharger setup in the location in which it is designed to fit.

Might be interested. I am running NA with around 12.1:1 compression. Do you feel there would be any advantages for me with this kit? I have heard it would be a good investment but want to make sure first. This is the exact kit I was looking to buy for $800. You can pm me any info. Thanks for the time.
