Default Freshly-Rebuilt 6.0L Longblock with Mods! It's a STEAL!!!

Hey guys,

I had an unexpected expense come up and I need to sell off the 6.0L longblock I was building. I'm trying to gauge any local interest, because I don't really want to ship this - I've done that twice and it's never fun. I'm located in Port St Lucie (1 hour North of West Palm Beach). If you're close enough (within 50 miles) I'll deliver it, any further, we'll have to make some arrangements.

Here are the specs:

00' Iron-headed LQ4 (hot tanked and painted black)
New Clevite rod, and main bearings
New Sealed Power Cam Bearings
ARP rod bolts
ARP Head bolts
Sealed Power Rings
Z06 cam
Z06 pushrods
Z06 springs
GM MLS head gaskets
New intake gaskets
New Valley Cover gasket
New Oil Pan gasket
New Front Cover gasket

My intention was to build a boosted LQ4 with some aftermarket hardware and gasket upgrades with a Z06 cam. The rotating assembly uses the stock components (ie pistons, rods, crank, and heads). Everything else has been changed.

It'll come complete for a drop-in (alternator, powersteering pump, brackets, coils, 2 wiring harnesses, exhaust manifolds (sandblasted/ 2 sets) intake etc...) will be included. The only things not included are the starter and the ECU.

I'm asking $2000.00 or best offer. If I have to ship it, then that will be left to the buyer to arrange. $2000.00 for a BRAND NEW modded motor is a deal of lifetime! Get it before someone else does!

Here are some pics:

MMMMMMM.....Fresh...

Bottom-End has brand new ARP bolts

New Clevite Main Bearings

New Cam Bearings

New Piston Rings

Fresh Hone on All Bores

Cylinder Heads were hot tanked then bead blasted and clear cloated

Valves were cleaned and refaced

Retainers

Locks

Z06 Camshaft with matching pushrods and valve springs

Accessories have been hot tanked, sand blasted and repainted aluminum. They look brand new.

Ignition Coils (12558693) known for their hotter spark.

Wiring Harness

Intake (only thing I haven't cleaned yet)

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I've got a 100% trader rating and I'm not here to screw anyone over. I'll be up-front as possible, and if I can't answer your question, I'll ask my machinist/builder.

Thanks in advance,
Vince

Yes, the cam is a LS6 cam. Here are the specs:

Part Number: NAL-12565308
Cam Style: Hydraulic roller tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,500-5,200
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 204
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 204 int./218 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.550 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.550 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.550 int./0.550 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 117
Intake Valve Lash: 0.000 in.
Exhaust Valve Lash: 0.000 in.

If you were to drop this in a corvette, you would need a new oil pan, pick-up, and windage tray. You would also need a new wiring harness, LS1/LS6 Intake, coolant crossover tubing, fuel rails, injectors, and corvette style accessorie brackets.

I'm guessing, with it's current 9.2:1 C/R, it would make around 400-410hp at the flywheel.

Yup. The stress that turbos put on an engine's internals is substantially less than a supercharger or nitrous. If I was planning on slapping on a Procharger or using the bottle, you can bet your butt I'd forge everything. A lot of people don't give the OEM rotating assemblies enough credit. Unless you're constantly beating the **** out of your drivetrain, 9 times out of 10 you'll never utilize the additional strength of a forged kit. Yeah, you might sleep better at night because of it, but when you can get a rebuilt 400hp based engine nowadays for $2000.00, it would cost more to build one than to buy one.

Besides, look at Parish's stock 5.3L that runs mid 9's. Nothing, not even a gasket change, and that Fairmont could walk 90% of the cars on this site.

Take pride in the fact that GM spent millions of dollars researching the powdered rods that most of people on here throw away.

If that engine has the 2000 correct truck crank, the rear fly wheel face is spaced out for it to work only with a 4L80e.

Did you change the crank to a '02+ or car crank? If not, you should probably disclaim the motor wont bolt to a T-56 for 4L60e.

I didn't know that. The crank is the stock 00' crank. I was going to use my built TH350 with the Hughes spacer so it was never an issue.

If that's true, then thanks for the clarification.
