I bought a set of 10.2 MM wires and installed them with NGK TR55 plugs and coated the MSD with a little bit of dielectric grease and now the car runs like a champ!

I like the MSD coil when i installed it the throttle response is much crisper and the car seems to have more power!!
Just a thought, don't you think the new wires/plugs could be responsible for the perceived increase. You replaced worn parts with new.

even the stock coil has that glowing coming from around the frame. That being said my 12+ yr old stock coil is still going strong. The MSD coil is too. I recently purchased a new one, and I like the new design better... Lower resistance too.

thats one thing i want to ask...everybody that has had problems with other than stock coils...did you even upgrade the wires to something with low resistance.. i am sure its harder on a higher voltage coil trying to send voltage through a high resistant wire like the stockers or even worst..autoparts brand lol
