Possibly but it was never touched. And its held in with screws correct? I still think there was some sort of anamoly in the PCM that was caused by the short. And by 100% disconnecting the PCM is reset itself or something. I can't figure it out. And that bugs me.

yeah i think it reset itself when you disconnected it!

The actuall module is pushed in held by a push clip. The 2 screws only hold down the cover. Its still possible for it to be not all the way in. I was thinking maybe over the years the vibration or something caused it to walk out.

Unplugging the PCM wont reset anything, besides erasing all stored codes and maybe having to relearn fuel trim and IAC. This does seem like a anamoly no doubt lol

No doubt. Hopefully it is fixed and I won't have to go through this BS again.

Glad you got it fixed. What you described in your first post sounded like it was knock related, that's why I said that in my first geuss..
