biggest cam for stock stall and spring????? HELP PLEASE! i did a little searching nothin much but i need to know the biggest cam you can put into a bone stock motor with stock stall and stock springs. if there is any diff its a corvette motor thanks alot i dont know much about lt1s i know ls1s. Its a friends car. please help and where can i get one
Like mentioned above, you can't put a bigger cam with stock springs and /or valvetrain. You can install a set of 1.6 roller rockers(sa), with your stock springs, in fact,one of my first bolt ons.
Again stock. The stock cam actually greatly benifits from more spring and stall. Doing a cam now would be a poor choice. I say that after having done a mild cam with stock stall. So I am not pointing a finger, I am saying do not repeat a mistake I already made.
Been there done that, stall first, cam later. You will have a better driving car and a faster car with a nice stall over running the stock stall with any cam. It is 100% mandatory to change valvesprings when upgrading to any camshaft.
