Highest HP Hyd roller guys?
tuneability with 42's versus 36's is going to be negligible... The 42's are gonna provide you alot more fuel and room to grow... don't buy injectors that are "maxed out" as your tuner put it.... cause if you want to change something and make a bit more power guess what you're buying 42's anyways.....
I'd really like to hear the info behind your tuners theory.... If you want to know roughly how much power injectors will support then here...
42lb/hr * 8 inj = 336 lb/hr * 2 (reverse engineering the formula from a BSFC of .5) = 672 HP......
So the 42's will provide enough fuel for ROUGHLY 672 hp...... This doesn't take into account duty cycles.... Only how much fuel THAT injector will support in a maxed out state..... 80% DC which is the industry standard shouldn't be exceeded by more than roughly 5%. If you're at 85% making power you need bigger squirters....
Duration is going to tell a whole lot more about how much fuel you will need than lift will.
36 SVO should be ok for most grinds, 42 would be a much safer bet.
Your tuner can tell you for sure.
Keep us posted on how it does both on the dyno and at the track.
It sounds like you have a very similar setup to what I am building.
That's part of the deal and Bret will tell you that before you order.
