Around where I live, i'd say it'd be worth around 8 grand if it's in excellent shape. Fair shape you should be able to fetch around 7. Make sure everything is clean and functional when your selling it, because with that many miles on it, the buyer will be looking for the smallest possible things to be broken. If he can't find anything, he'll believe more that the car was treated great and therefore will believe that it will run great, no matter how it actaully runs. Hope it helped

I gave $10K for mine, that was book value, I didn't have any credit history so no one would deal with me. So I found one i really liked and had to pay what they asked. My car booked at $10K with 69K miles, leather/power seats, Bose CD system, t/tops, chrome wheels, power windows and locks. But the best thing to do is go to Kelley's blue book on the net. It is quick, easy, and to the point. With 113K on the clock and being a 95, I am thinking no more than $5-7K, it depends if you like the car if you want to pay more for it. I have seen decent Lt1 cars for $5-6K from private sellers.

problems with the car would be 1) optispark. it sucks, it's right under the waterpump, so if your waterpump goes, expect the opti to go too 2) 10bolt rear. weak as hell. don't push it too hard once you break 330-350 rwhp. it will blow. 3) cramped motor compartment. forget about doing header installations and wire/plug changes. Do what I do and pay some labor money for a mechanic to do it.

Stock times will be anywhere from 13.6-14.4... I've seen stock LT1s go anywhere around those times. Most go from 13.9-14.2, though. If it's an M6, you should have no problem running right around 14.0, but A4s are a lot more sporadic.

If you really want a good bit of advice, here's mine. Check the autotrader mags, forget about looking online. Look alllllllll the way in the back, the tiny cheapo ads. After 2 months of looking for an LT1 under 10 grand, I found the ad for my car all the way in the back:

"94 Z28, automatic. supercharged, 17" rims, highly modified. very fast. $9800"

I called the guy and was amazed to find that pistons, rods, and even the crank was forged. The blower had a 9psi upgrade. It had a full exhaust, ignition system, cam, blahblah. The only thing the car is without is heads, manifold, suspension, and rear. Which I will be doing I eventually talked him down to 8700 and bought it for that price. I've fried up some wires and torn apart the trans mount, but other than that I've put on about 2000 miles and it's running fine. Well, that's my advice. Look for a highly modded one, you can find them for a very good price. Also, if you want highly modded, check out Fox body Mustangs with crates in them. I've seen a good amount of those around too. GOOD LUCK!

Well, i don't know about if you've got the manifolds on it. I've only ever owned my car with the crappy Edelbrocks. It required jacking my car up with me on the bottom, my friend on top of the car, and us trying to work together between all the parts/headers to route the wire from the opti to the plug. I have yet to experience the horror that is a plug change. There's just so little room in the compartment. Don't let this deter you from buying the car, though. LT1s are awesome. I just wish GM built them as well as they built the LS1.

First off, its not hard to change plugs and wires. Ive done it on stock cars, Edlebrock headers, Hooker Headers, and most recently ASM headers. Route the plugwires close to the block. Forget the stock wire mounts/clamps, just use zip ties to hold them close to each other and run them under the header and close to the block, will take about 30 min to change all the wires. Plugs arent that bad either. Just have a swivel joint and different size extensions and you can change the plugs in 30 min as well as long as the alternator and AIR tube piping is off.

well i got one problem now and that is my mother she dont think i can afford it

avg. monthly income. 540

loan payment=110
insurance=170-summer 75-winter
loan for truck=45 0 in 5 months
insurance for truck=40

that is all i have montly
that leaves 175 for like one or two months and then winter comes and it goes in storage so then i will have 270 and then when summer comes it will be 220 a month that should be plenty right?

i could live off of that. but if you got a girlie right now, you wont have her long with only 220 a month hehe. Thats dipping too much into "her funds" and she aint gonna like that

haha, gangly makes a good point. 220 a month is meager, but yu should be able to alst on it. If not, sell the truck and buy yourself an old Subaru beater with AWD for the winter. That's what I'm thinking of doing.
