It says 1997 one one part and 1996 on the other. It's clearly a 96

Definitly wants too much for that car. I would buy a nice ls1 for that much money.

If its a real SS with those miles its worth 10K or more to the right person. This is a SLP car that will never be made again. Its one of the Rarest 4th gen Camaros ever made.
In 97 the SS was all done in house from GM.

Oh and a LS1 SS with those miles would be in the upper teens or low to mid 20s

Yes exactly, it all depends on the right person.
If I had the cash laying around I'd pay up to $11k for that car because I will pay for what I want, I paid more than that for my WS6 in '07 with 8,900 miles but its well worth it to me because its my favorite F-Body ever and I wouldn't trade it for anything

But, is it a real SS? It does have the wrong exhaust. If it was an SLP car, why would someone put regular Z28 tips on it? Sounds kinda fishy to me.

You should be able to look at the build codes for the car to determine if it's a real SS. Running the VIN won't do anything in that regard.

Damn... if I wouldn't of just bought a new motorcycle & some heads for my LS1 car, I'd buy that car in a heartbeat. It would be perfect for another Bolt-on LT1 ride to have fun with!

Not a fan of the wheels in the pic. At least your getting SS rims if you win. I'm a skeptic about the exhaust too. Maybe he or the prior owner changed the moffler and forgot to mention it?

carfax wont tell you if its an SS anyways....all an SS is, is a Z28 that has been modified!! so it will just bring up Z28 not SS...

and if im not mistaken not all SSs had the SLP exhaust...some kept the factory

Looked it up on GM VIS... it is a 96
bought at :
CLASSIC CHEVROLET
500 LINCOLN AVE
BELLEVUE , PA 15202-3574
(412) 734-5000

Only warranty claim was at
STAR CHEVROLET-NISSAN-VOLVO
5200 STATE ROUTE 30
GREENSBURG, PA 15601-6405
(724) 834-6100

11/06/2007 845 01 # V0430 - INSTALL AIR PUMP KIT 88880033 - PUMP KIT N at 19057 Miles

The RPO codes confirm the WU8 code so it is a real SS and the paint code is 37U Bright Teal Metallic

So this car is the real deal
