Default Code 15?

OK so its a coolant temp sensor, I'm going to assume its the one in the waterpump, as the one in the head is for the cluster?

Yeah if not someone please post up. As much as I like OEM sensors I don't think the parts is open at the dealership tomorrow, guess for something like this a autozone part probably won't hurt.

I also have to try to un-seize my coolant bleeders, damn thing has a case of the airpockets bad.....

So much for the first drive, at least with the new knock sensor and code reset the 43 code is gone.

Just praying running that hot for a few minutes didn't kill any head gasket.

Also, if running in limp mode and I'm mail tuned, could it run kinda like garbage? Just wondering, seems to idle fairly stable, seems alright while accelerating, but while cruising it seems to be running brutally.

I suppose I will find out tomorrow once I replace yet another sensor and drag my laptop out again to reset the codes. Well maybe if I'm lucky it won't pop the code on fire up with the new sensor installed, but I doubt that ****. I had to reset it today for the knock sensor I put in.

i have replaced the water pump temp sensor on several cars. and that has always fixed the issue. i have used oe and aftermarket sensors both and had no issue with either.

i think its a 25 dollar sensor

U said u had air pockets, could that make the coolant sensor trip a code. I would purge the system 1st then see if the temp sensor is still acting up. Even with a proper tune, if the coolant temp is bad it will def make a motor run like crap.

If you have that Temp Sensor go out, it will mess with alot of the things on that Engine, expecially F/A Ratio. If it is out, then you will notice a big difference when you get it replaced.

Yeah its running great today, might have a loose rocker or two, or it could all be exhaust leaks. Hopefully on Monday I can take care of my exhaust issue.

Sensor was $13, and got the coolant situation handled. I can't wait for this clutch to be broke in, I can tell this is going to be a fun ride.

How's it feeling with a T56 behind it? I was thinking about doing the conversion with that Engine, but I decided on the 402 Stroker at the time..

So far it feels great. I haven't had it over 4k/half throttle yet since I'm breaking in the clutch, but part throttle acceleration is great. Runs a little rough at just cruising, but I've got exhaust banging the bottom of the car I'm about to go try to do something about, even if desensitized I'm sure the knock sensor might be picking that up not to mention that's driving me nuts when I pull up to a light. May have a loose rocker or two still, but I'll know better Monday if I get my rigged up exhaust fixed up front.

Already getting looks though, it makes some racket, saw a C5 owner staring me down today with a WTF look.

Driving down to Bradenton tommarow for the Nostalgia Drags, should put some miles on it. I'm still getting used to taking off in 1st and reverse with this 6 puck clutch. All the other gears feel normal when shifting, just have to get used to leaving. I took off at the one light holding it at 1200, seemed to work great.
