Default New Twin Turbo Project.

Hey Folks.

I've decided to build myself a Twin Turbo Chevy engine for my Volvo 245 Wagon.

I was deciding on going Lt1 with a pair of Holset HY35W's and external wastegates.

Everyone knows Volvo's have plenty-o space under the hood.

I realize I know virtually nothing about a chevy engine and I would like to know what It would take to be able to output 800whp.

No spray, just b00st.

What are soom good companies that offer cheap aftermarket forged internals/turbocams, and some headwork, ect?

Some info would be nice.

Thanks Fellas,

Brett

head work i'd say either LE or AI both sponsors on this site who are very well known for their porting work.

now cheap and forged i have never heard in the same sentence before haha, but that you might have to do some digging for. and as far as the turbo cam, both AI and LE should be able to work with you and grind you a custom cam suitable for your project.

i ended up going with scat forged guts with probe pistons. they arent the best on the market, but they are budget friendly. if you need more info, PM me and ill give you what i paid and where i bought them from. overall i have about 1100 in rotating assembly.

mm, 800 rwhp will be lovely and doable easy with a nice pair of hx40's. I'd like to see how my volvo stands up to the cars on this board.

for 800rwhp your going to need an exotic bottom end. Your also going to need some decent sized turbo's to make that much power.

Lt1boost.com offers kits and hotparts which may speed up your build. For sure go with AI's or Le's top heads with your power goals.

dead link.

I need to figure out where I would start - an LT1 or an LS1?

What rotating assembly would I go with in order to withstand 800hp, and what kind of heads?

i checked out scat, I need some real dyno numbers to work with here.

I dont know who to start with!

it really just depends. eagle rotateing assym are pretty inexpensive but i've also heard that their quality control isn't always on top of their game.
