I'm Supercharging the SS!!
I have a vortech LT1 supercharger on the way, I have one question though. Does anyone know if I can get a mail order tune for this forced induction mod? I plan to do an upgraded CAM, LE3 Heads, and a full exhaust. If anyone hase a good idea for a good "get it close" mail order tune just so I can get it to a dino shop. By the way its a 1996 Camaro SS that for now is basically stock with an OBDII PCM.
Thanks in advance,
Brandon

Going forced induction I would definitely go with a dyno tune from a reputable shop. The risk of something breaking is just too great to rely on a mail order tune when going FI. If you cannot fit it into your budget then you may want to consider settling with N/A power until you can afford it.
Good luck with it and do plenty of research.

I would strongly recommend a dyno tune for your setup. The LT1 motor and boost can not get along well for long if not tuned properly. I would suggest no more then 6-8 psi.
did you look at supporting mods?
255 intank pump
min 42# injectors, but I would suggest 60's for room to grow later
NGK TR6 plugs
other things is making sure the ignition is good..opti and wires
good luck with the new setup

Some food for thought, a few years back I bolted up a p1sc to my stock motor and got a base tune from pcm for less and my motor didn't last a month. I was stupid and ignorant back then and never put it on a dyno or even hooked up a wideband to check it out.
So just like everyone said, get a good dyno tune!

Thanks for the info. Don't worry, I wasn't going to just slap this onto my stock motor and say "Yee haa". It's not really what I can fit into my budget, it's more what I have to budget for to do it right. Does anyone know a good shop in Georgia?
