Default No heat?

Alright. My girlfriends 94 Z28 doesnt have any heat.
I know theres a vac leak causing the HVAC system to never switch from bi-level. No leaks from a busted heater core.

AC blows cold, heat just... well blows. Its almost like its on vent. I really have no clue where to look other then the heater core.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

See if you have air in the lines leading to the heatercore. Just open the bleed screws right there. If you dont see fluid right away, leave em cracked till you do. Obviously do this all with the heat on. Ive seen 4 LT1's do that THIS fall. Chased it around for hours on my bro's.

It doesnt appear to blow any different at any speed other then off LOL
Soon as she gets a day off im gona flush the cooling system, change the thermostat, track down an exhaust leak and check on the heater core.

Hell at least i dont mind working on this car, the last thing she had was a dodge and i was scared to touch it for fear of spontanious combustion.

Pull the hoses for the heater off at the water pump and hook a hose up and backflush the heater core. pretty common for them to clog up over the summer. specially if you run a low temp thermostat.

I drive my car under 5K a year and I have to back flush it ever other year.

Sounds like a plan.

I know when the heater core goes on a sy/ty the passenger floorboard fills with coolent. I looked for any trace of leaky coolent on the Z and didnt find a damn thing.
The only thing concerning me is random SRS airbag light and a low coolent light on constantly. No matter what i do. Im gona flush the overflow tank and clean the sensor and hope thats the fix. If not ill just blow it up, get a new tank/sensor and install it heh.

Backflushed everything today. There was sand in the radiator.
Got everything done and inspected for cracks. No cracks.
Put a new T-stat in (found out the old one was frozen shut) and the heat issues dropped drastically. However, still no heat. Burped the system and all but im at a loss here unless the clock in the heater core is made up of sillyputty and kryptonite and just refuses to come lose lol.

Alrighty... its been a while due to a new job and some stuff comming up, but still no luck.
Got her a new starter and everything looks good but the damn heater.
Low coolent light is STILL on no matter what i do short of buying a new sensor.
I can hear the flapper in the dash move when i operate the HVAC controlls so i know thats not the issue.

However, i found a dilapidated vac line check valve on the passenger side of the engine compartment, leaving the firewall. Bought a new one but i cant for the life of me find a diagram that shows anything in that area of the camaro.
Im wondering if it controlls the heater flapper to the core and thats why we're not getting any heat.

Any more help would be amazing, its been below freezing in phx for the past few days and my girlfriend wont stop bitching heh. Help a guy out!

low coolant light just means bad sensor more than likely
