500 rwhp with an auto is going to cost big bucks with a th400 and a 9 inch you will need way over 600 fwhp to get there(solidroller huge cam awesome heads)

with a 6 speed you can get there fairly easy with a hydrolic cam but wont get very good track numbers

I dont even get dyno numbers anyway for example 2 cars both making 500 rwhp one with say a th400 and one with a m6
in my exp the auto will run a 10.3@130 and the M6 will run a 11.0@122 or so @3200 lbs.I dont understand its like dynos lie and really like the 6speeds

I guess I would rather run faster on the track then the dyno

Funny story...

My brother's '03 Cobra with ported blower, pulleys, CAI, programming, and cat-back made 505 rwhp through an M6. He ran low 12's at 118 mph.

My Z28 with a 383, AFR, cam, and Vortech T-trim (old combo) made 545 rwhp through an A3. I ran 10.40 at 133 mph.

So, with 40 more rwhp, I ran 15 more mph at similar weights.

YEAH! You cant beat it. Daily driveability and decent economy on low boost, AND 1200???rwhp on race gas. Itd go BOTTOM 8's at 170mph, 180mph?? who knows? not to mention go over 200mph in a standing mile competition....
...I'd rather do it with a LS2 427ci with L92 or LS7 heads though...Thats my dream build period. Put in a Fox body mustang...Man, what terror that would be!

It's not that dyno's lie it's that the drivetrain loss for a T56 and stock driveshaft 10 bolt combo is probably like 13%.....

TH400 with a denny's nitrous shaft and 9" is probably like low 20's... I figured about 23% from what my quarter mile times/MPH were at my raceweight.... dyno is a tool... it is NOT a comparison of who can beat who.....

Hell I've punched holes in several dreamers that put down 680+ RWHP with their blown LS1's.... With my paltry all motor 480ish RWHP...... dyno #'s don't mean shiet....

Im sure your just joking but dynos arent designed to be a measure of 1/4 mile performance. Put those two 500hp cars on a road course (all other the things being equal) and see which runs the faster time.

its exactly like outlaw explained

When it comes to big power numbers (700+ hp), forced induction is actually the cheap route.

that looks hideously badass...... I'm eventually going to go big single..... i'm going to front mount mine up in the bumper tho with the inlet facing the nose of teh car tho...

I love the tubular work on the nose that you did as well to fit the radiator.... really clean work on that badboy....
