Default Part Number for 96+ Opti Seal & How do you get the Water Pump Shaft Seal out?

Ok as it says I went and ordered everything for my Firebird and told him 94 on friday when I did so... forgetting I have a 96 Motor to start with....

So I think the Water Pump shaft seal si right (Which is what is leaking on me) but I want to replace both the Opti and Water Pump seals as I might as well since I am in here.

So Here are the parts I have and what I believe them to be:

GM 10128317 (I think this is the 93-94 Opti Seal?)
GM 10217886 (I believe this one to be the Water Pump Shaft Seal?)
GM 10128316 (Main shaft seal right? Expensive seal lol)
GM 10128293 (I think its safe to say this is the timing cover... just maybe lol)

Whats the part number for the 96 Water Pump Shaft seal and is it the same? Also I DEF need the part number for the 96 Opti Seal if anyone has that so I can go buy the right one at Autozone.

Ok on another note... HOW the HELL do you get the seal for the water pump out? Don't tell me I have to remove the timing cover... I really do not want too.

I am going back out to put in my new Taylor OTVC Wires... even though I am not going to route them that way oh well.

12552428 Opti seal 95-97

The cover makes it easier, but it can be remove without taking the cover off. I would use a small screw driver and tap in between the cover and seal to pry it out.

take your time, so you do not damage the cover

While I was waiting I went ahead and did my new Taylor Wires.... I am glad they have the coating and I got the extra boot tops because I NEVER want to do that again.

Thank you for the part number, I will try again I was going to get a seal puller and try that but I will try a screw driver at the indent molded into the top of the timing cover.

How much play should there be in that shaft? With the sseal out I can move it up and down... rather easily.
