First mod to virgin engine :D
You should have gotten the one from "Chrome Intakes" if you were going to go with an Ebay one. It extends all the way down into the bumper cover area (like the Moroso and K&N kits do) so the air is a little bit colder. I've heard of fitment issues with this kit though.
The one you have looks like it would have no fitment issues, but I think you could have gotten almost the same thing by just taking off the stock air box and clamping on a filter (that's how my car was when I bought it). Like this:
The piping you have looks a little less restrictive. But you could have just spent $20 on a filter and called it a day.
But hell, for $40 that thing looks REALLY GOOD and if it does what it needs to do - great buy.

Yeah I just like the looks of tubing instead of other intakes. If i was to buy a 200 plus intake it would of been the SLP but im bias. one of my buddys did what you have. put a K&N on the stock intake. he didnt mention any difference tho.
Now all he needs to do is make a little duct in that Splash Guard there and get some colder air from the road into his Intake.
That Hole is for the Line for a Vented Opti, your '94 model doesn't have that..

Yea I actually picked up the chromes intake here. Think I paid like 54 bucks..Some of you guys can analize the tubing pick em apart all you want lol but except for maybe heatsoak in hot weather its not much different performance wise vs. the others and a 100 plus bucks cheaper.....If you do your research some have swapped it for a K&N/moroso/ling. cai for comparison and said they felt no differance from one to the other.

You won't feel a difference unless there is around a 15 HP gain anyway, so even most people won't even feel adding a cold air intake on after having a stock air box. You need to dyno it to be sure.

Verdad Gallardo But what I'm saying is you won't notice a difference between a K&N and a stock air box. A cold air intake by itself is only good for about 10 HP at the most. So unless you're a professional driver, you aren't going to notice a difference.
One way to tell your filter to intake parts are dirty is that the car will take longer to start then with clean parts.
Not sure guys lol...I felt a big sotp gain w/ a damn hpp can tune on my old 97 
and dyno gain w/ those are almost nothing ...I did my cai w/ 373's on my last car so cant help there.

that is what i have as far as intake. and if you take a good look at it, you can see how much more volume could flow through there than the reducer than makes your intake diameter practically smaller than the MAF houseing.

had that same intake the OP has on my 94' Z28, but had the extended tube down out of the engine bay, drove for 15000 miles, rain, etc. no problems, noticed a difference in power. of course nothin compared to the ls1 i traded it in for !
