Default a4 dyno ?

what gear do you do yalls pulls in. 2nd or 3rd. and how do u keep it from down shifting when flooring it. thanks

I'm pretty sure it's second and third. Preferably 3rd.

You don't keep it from downshifting. You just run it through the gear.

Your dyno operator should know this. You don't worry about it.

I always thought it was 3rd. I also always thought you did not floor it instantly but climbed until 4k~ or so until it cant downshift then floor it. Iv never been on one. So this should be a learning post for both of us.

Mine is always done in 3 rd, revved to the point beyond kickdown with the converter locked.

3rd Gear, got it to the speed that wouldn't downshift into 2nd, and hammered it. Then the Stall kicked in and it broke loose and threw rubber everywhere. I had crappy tires, next time I'm Dyno'n with my MT's on.

one stupid newb question from me.... does rotational mass... (heavy rear wheels) minimize HP #'s? basicly im asking should i go to the dyno with my prostars on or my street wheels?

Lighter rotating mass will dyno higher so prostars will give you better bragging rights than heavier wheels.
