Default Heavy braking = stall?

I was testing out my brakes in the rain today by pressing on them pretty heavily, and right before I came to a complete stop, the car sort of shuddered and died. I was able to put it in park and start back up no problem though. Thoughts?

sounds like the vacuum used by brake booster. I've seen where it will bring idle down just a tad but never actually cause a stall. Might want to check and see if you got any vacuum leaks or listen for hissing coming from the booster. This is just a guess without actually seeing it for myself.

I had that happen to me in a carb 355 89 Camaro that i used to drive. I figured the sudden stop prevented the fuel from getting to the engine? Not really sure to this day what happened either, but i know exactly what your talking about.

What would it tell you if I disconnect the booster hose, and the car dies?

^ nothing, every one of our cars would die if you unhooked the booster hose..

My caddy does this also... I bout plowed through a group of young African Americans the other day, noticed them at the last min and slammed on the brakes, slid to a stop and car died, I started the car back up and heard some giggling from the tribe so I rolled my window down and threatened to bust some caps...
