I've never used a Fork, just a good smack with a Hammer.

You didn't read my post..

I have the Salad Shooters on, also with LS1 Brakes..which are 12" Brakes.

here is some more LS1 Rear brake info. switching from the LT1 rear brakes and e-brake setup to the LS1 rear brakes and e-brake setup adds ~12.2 pounds to the car, ~7.6 pounds of that is rotor weight. It is a lot nicer brake and e-brake setup though.

I wonder how much of that in the Caliper you will grind off for the 15" Draglites..

Also if you have a V6 car '97 and older this will not work, because they use a different rack and pinion and the wheels will be toed out real bad.

^^All you would have to do there is adjust the Tie Rods..

im wanting to do the C5 brake upgrade. what all is needed for that?

EDIT: i did a search and ws6store.com sells a complete C5 brake conversion kit from $700 to $900. Aparently you cant use your lt1 spindles. what do you guys think?

There was a Kit out there that you could use the LT1 Spindles with..

Merv is right. However you have to sawzall that funk shark fin like thing off of the spindle.

okay, so the factory lt1 spindles will work. Well hell, i might look into doing this conversion.

yeah you have to cut the old tabs off. my conversion kit mounts to the hub bearing bolts. try pricing it all out on your own first, going through parts stores you may save $$$ especially not paying shipping, though you do get hit with taxes. oh well i own a shop so i get discounted and all that goodness!!!

gotta cut off the 'ears' off the spindles. get the brackets, then caliper mounts and calipers, you use the stock bearing assembly. its really an easy install. REMEMBER you need at least 17" rims up front

That is quite a bit of rotating weight. I wonder how much et is lost in the 1/4 mile?
