This is my friend's car, it's a custom true dual setup, over the axle, with Borla XR1s placed behind the axle... BEST sounding LT1 I've ever heard, and it's just a bolt on car. I can't even imagine how it would sound on a heads/cam car

Definetly...I have finals next week then I will be home until mid January but we will have to meet up and do something when I get back. One of my roomates actually has a cammed LT1 Vette so we have some LT1's fans around.

For anyone interested, GMMG usually has a group purchase around Christmas. Check the vendor section. You can usually save a few bucks.

GMMG. I had the factory, then I put on a flowmaster 80 series, a magnaflow replaced it...then a hooker aerochamber muffler...then an slp loudmouth catback...then the gmmg...wish it would have been the first one I got! That's just my .02 and everyone is entitled to their own. I like mine because it has a very smooth tone and doesn't have the classic rice crispy (snap, crakcle, pop) you hear a lot with most systems.

Borla sound bad ***, so, the cheapest way i found to sound like borla with a open passenger side pipe with no insert is....

Straight pipe...

That was bone stock with a K&N drop in, gutted cat and straight pipe, no muffler what so ever, i love it, but now i have more motor so it is retarded loud, just like a open borla.

Look into some LPP's if there are any left. They're dirt cheap for stainless headers, but there's very limited quantities.
