are you referring to Javier97Z28? if so I would hope you could do so with the combo you just listed. The guy has a 355 H/R, stock heads/intake combo.

I don't know you anymore the Javier97Z28, so I'm not taking his side. That is bold statement to make though with a combo which doesn't even run. The setup sounds awesome and I would expect it to run harder then his 355 setup...why not?

I will say be careful since there is a lot more slow big cube setups out there then fast one..no harm intended to anyone.

From what I have seen AI makes great set ups also but are more expensive than LE.
When I orginally started doing my reserch LE was 10x more helpfull than AI. Just My experience. Ethier way you cant go wrong. I just prefer LE.

BTW My LE set up made 413+rwhp through a DANA S60, would be close to 430rwhp with the 10bolt. LE does some awesome work, and Is awesome to work with!!!!!!!!!!
Not many out of the box aftermarket heads work as well as LEs.
Aftermarked ported heads will ported by AI or LE yes but thats double the cost for something most guys will never take full advantage of. Just my .02

Silly statement don't you think?

We went from talking about out of the box AFR's to:

"ported AFR's on a 396 with a single plane solid roller setup" vs. my simple 355 build...

As far as the 150 shot in a gutted rattletrap.. good luck I guess, but i'm not running a swiss cheesemobile.

Im just curious as to what you did to get your car that light? Its just that I've seen gutted cars still weigh in around 3300lbs.

My old 95Z full weigth, weighed in at 3650 with me in the car, My 00SS weighed in at 3722 with me in the car. My Z was a base model Z and my SS is full optioned SS hence why it weighs more.

Just about everything out! I pulled 100% of the interior out then gutted the dash and kept only what i need(left all wiring in car), no bumper supports, my exhaust stops after the y pipe, no ac components, no powersteering, no cruise control, weld wheels with skinnies up front, and im sure there is alot more little stuff i cant think of hand. Also i have a TH350 wich im sure is somewhat lighter than the 4L60E it use to have. I put the car on the scale then drove off and went and stood on the scale, and sure enough 175. Its def not the prettiest but who cares! To fast for them to be able to see it anyways! The car weighed around 3730 with me in it spare tire and all back in the day. Ill see about gettin some pics up. OH! And I am looking to sell my Beige leather interior if some is interested, everything you need! lol

ill have to chime in on weight, last mine was weighed it was 29xx (as stated in sig) and since then i added tubular k member, a arms, glass good, lighter wheels and tires and more weight out of it. Mine WILL be under 3k race weight WITH a 8pt cage. But ill make a new thread later on in time when its done!! Other then that im shooting for high 11's NA with a cam only car and 10 somethin on a 150 shot.

are you in a high DA area or just really conservative on your estimates? with a sub 3000 lb raceweight I would be expecting high 11s damn near with just boltons.

Hahahaha^^^^ I always love the coulda woulda shoulda guys...If y'all need any other n/a back up from a 3600 plus pound weenie cammed 383 pig lemme know!!! I've put more than my share of cars on the trailer, yet I've never been on one...You don't run the number until you run the number...

To the OP its all going to come down to cam, converter, gear selection, suspension parts and suspension tuning as well as raceweight...Good luck with your build...

How in the hell did you get your car down to 3080 with you in it AND you don't already have a tublar k-mbr????? There's no frikkin way unless your whole car was completely stripped down to nothing, one race seat, no cage, gutted dash, no airbags or HVAC, lexan windows, etc....... probably lightweight brakes, skinnies, bogarts,etc....

example. My car is 3350 with me in it. I have two racing seats, carpet with sound deadener removed, HVAC gone, big *** alternator bracket gone, power brakes gone, power steering gone for a manual rack, i have aerospace front brakes, sheetmetal doorpanels that are carpeted, BMR everything including k-mbr..... there's probably a ton I am forgetting but my car is still close to THREE HUNDRED pounds more.... Granted I have a 12 point mild steel cage with door, a-pillar, and rocker bars but i don't see that being much more than 100-125 lbs extra......

what kind of scale did you use????

I used the scale at Houston Raceway Park. It weighed me in correct at 175, how much do you way? And ya it is basically down to nothing... Everything highlighted in the first paragraph is correct. Everything in the second paragraph is more you have than I. Plus you have a Ford 9" which weighs probably another 50-60lbs more than my 10bolt.? the tubular k member and upper/lower control arms saves 40lbs. also, correct me if im wrong, but i dont see thicker and stronger suspension components saving much if any weight over stock small flemsy crap(inlcuding the SFC's which i dont have yet). Ill take some pics of the car on saturday and post em up.
