Stock block will handle way more than you are giving it.

Ah I for some reason got confused. I thought he ment stock short block.

A FILLED block seems to have no problems pushing over 1,000RWHP

would the stock block not hold 1,000 hp without being filled?

if ur planning for a big shot of n2o, i would suggest that u go forged everything (pistons, connecting rods and cranck shaft),,just to be on the safe side

Not too many people need to worry about how much power the actual block will hold, lol.

i was thinking the same thing, and im not saying this specifically to the OP but it seems like people come in here asking will my motor hold 7 hot side double lapped turbo's with 879 psi per cylinder with 6 stages of nitrous equalling 9billion hp.

then everyone starts in with everything they will need and their goals realisitically drop to about 400rwhp.

so in other words you will be fine, just go all forged. and you can pretty much do whatever your little heart desires, as long as your wallet can afford it.

there is actually a 5.0 running around phoenix with a decent sized shot of nitrous, he had blown his intake manifold into peices i think 2 times now.
makes me laugh everytime. i think its on a 200 or 250 shot too.

although when the car does run it is pretty damn fast.

Over 500 rwhp on a stock 5.0 block, and you are living on borrowed time. You can get away with it, but they like ejecting cranks out the bottom. Do an internet search, you will find pics all over.

yea its going to be a completely forged rotating assembly, ported heads, cam, and about 200-250 shot of juice goin at it. it will get tuned of course but i dont want the stock block to be the problem since im dumping mad money in it.
