My dyno #s
OK. dynoed the car on sun. made 256rwhp and 273tq
mods in sig. why did i hit so low? i read some stock cars doing atleast 15hp more than this. its ran lean though (at 15.22).

What kind of dyno was it? I actually heard that stock cars do lower whp than what you put out, but what you put out is lower than others with similar mods so I hear your concern.
It is lean, getting it tuned will help out. I gained about 15+whp throughout the rev range from a tune alone. I hope that MAF won't get in the way.

also depends on what kind of dyno. if it's a dyno-jet, those are pretty crappy. numbers..but if it's a mustang or dyno dynamics. that's about right. because those two dynos are "load bearing" which means they have resistance on the rollers and simulate road conditions. they are more for tuning than good numbers.

We discussed resistance in another thread, and I still don't understand how adding resistance = truer numbers since driving conditions and being on a dyno are the same. Still earth's gravity affecting the weight on the car. I still think a DynoJet will put some resistance down to account for the change in pushing the other bit of the car.
Either way, on topic... The fact you have an A4 and the fact it's running way lean doesn't help any. The only real power adder is the CAI and exhaust as that MAF doesn't help any. I think I remember it hurting some people's performance and might be the reason for lean condition. The trans being built will actually help some, but not all that much.

Have you had it tuned? If you are running lean you are missing out on HP. My advice is to have the car "dyno tuned" and you should hopefully see some better numbers after. Don't feel to bad, when I had my first dyno my car was running extremely lean up top and I dyno'd 260 at the rear. Got that fixed up real quick

Bad A/F, nearly stock auto car, and a stall...numbers seem close to me!!!
Your trap mph on a track will tell you more about how your combo is running then dyno numbers, especially being an auto.
