Enables the two-step in first gear. The two-step switch is mounted on the brake peddle. I tried it for a few passes and hated it, so it is now disconnected.

It works fine. I like the DFI more, because it has more room for fine tuning. The performance isn't really any different betwean the two.

Wow, that's a bunch of questions. I posted this stuff up because a drag racer had sent me a PM. Note that my set-up is drag race only. That doesn't mean that it would be too hard to add turn signal, etc., but you would need more circuits. The weight difference is huge, especially if you include all of the modules, speakers, etc. The wiring alone was about 45 lbs on my 1999 Camaro that I built into a Stocker!

If you guys are interrested, I will post up a step-by-step on my next build (coming soon I hope). I just have to work with the kids to finish our current stock internals project first.

That is really sweet! I started on my wiring last night. Took me a hour and a half just to get all the tape off and re-ziptie it to hold its form till i know what everything is. Its pretty freaky, i keep thinking to myself "this car is never gonna run again!!" lol And i havent even started on the pcm part, still doin the bcm. SO far i got all the stearo wires and air bag wires out. Like Darren said, this is "race car" stuff so most of you guys would not go this far. Im still keeping turn signals and brake lights to drive on the streets but thats as far as im going, everything else is gone.

That's awesome , im getting ready to completely disassemble my 96 Trans Am (Changing color , installing a cage etc. taking out the entire dash in favor of a VFN Fiberglass dash. I wanted to get rid of everything in the stock wiring harness. This is a great alternative.

Factory radio delete plate......you want one?
I am not selling any delete plates at this time. I have seen several on Ebay under "radio delete".

Good Luck,

Daren

This thread is old but it shows the time you guys take in your stocker cars and it looks great.

I can't wait for a couple more months to roll around so I can rip the frigg out of my racecar and get it going.

Now I have done my share of weight savings - I got the fiberglass hood, tubular suspension, no back seats, AC delete pully, removed air pump, getting a k-member, etc...but I draw the line at my radio, I need my tunes LOL.

How far you've come from wanting to keep it "Basically stock" and just bolt-ons .

Don't look at it as destroying your car. From what I have seen you have a well thought out car. You buy quality parts and install them properly. You work hard for your play money. What better way to enjoy it?

(Gump has 000186 original miles. It is also a factory AC-delete, non 1LE, six-speed Formula)

You have a PM on the delete plate.
