Default what converter?

im looking into converters...protorque, yank and vigilanted are the 3 im currently looking at. also, im trying to figure out what stall speed i should get. i plan on getting the le2 port job with a comp 306 comparable cam that lloyd has. also, within the next 4-5 years i plan on going 383 supercharged with nitrous. what would be the best converter speed for now and for down the line?

Yank 3600 seems to be a popular choice

ya,I would at least get a 3600.But you'll want a 4000 or bigger after driving the 3600 for a few months...

i have a ss3600 in mine it drives great, but the more you push the gas the higher the rpm's go,you just drive it with a light foot.i drive it all the time in stop and go traffic.it locks up at 45 or 50 mph and drives stock

The SS3600 by Yank would be a great converter to run for track and if you still want to keep it somewhat streetable. If you want something mainly for track use then you might want to look into a 4000 stall by Yank

I have a SS3600 and love it but for a larger cam I would get the SS4000. I love mine but would swap for an SS4000.

For me it would be fine but everyone is different. I use to DD the 3600 w/ 3.73's and loved it and a little more wouldn't hurt I don't think.

Depends on your rear-end.. That 4000 will snap your factory 10-bolt within due time with your radials.. but if you have a 12 bolt, 9", or S60, I would tell you to go with the 4000 for best strip times..

Although, keep in mind that LT1's generally like a bit less stall than LS1's, so I might say 3600.. I am still in the process of the same thing you are.. except you are much farther along the road than me modding wise

Tried True Experience and Results in a search will yield these three companies:

Edge, Yank, and Vig.
