Default Where to put jackstands in the front?

Last year when I did my cam I put them under the k-member but that was just for a week or two. Now Im planning on leaving it on jackstands for a month or two and they are just getting in the way for me when changing oil etc.
Right now it sits like this

Is it OK to place them where the subframeconnectors go? Somewhere on that rail? I have no idea but they look a little weak to have all the weight right on that spot.

`

Or is there a better place? Tell me

You can put them on your SFCs where they meet the subframe. Don't put them on the subframe itself though, it is kind of soft.

You want to use your A-arms if your leaving it for a while, that way the weight of the cars still on the suspension... Its not good to leave the car drooped out for a long time.

I usually always put mine at the rearmost K frame bolts on right near where the lower control arms hook up. Or you can put them on the front subframe, both will work fine.

BTW throw them cheap *** yard sale stands away and buy you some good ones, they aint but 40 bucks a set.

I would say the A-arms as well.
That's what I always use... they hold the weight of the car as it is... it only makes sense to use them to hold it's weight for the rest of the time

I put mine on the A-arm right where it connects to the K-member. I second the motion to pick up some better jack stands.

what works better than all of that is to use your sway bar bushings that mount to the frame.....it will sit in the groove of the jack stand and be out the way....

It depends on if you are picking the entire car up or lifting just the front and how high you want to go. I personnal always put them just in front of where the SFC is welded in at, but I have SUV style stands, so they are tall on the first notch.

The whole car is lifted. In the rear I put them under the rearend.

I just moved them to the a-arms yesterday, seems to work fine.

Take FASTFATBOYS advice and buy some better stands. Years ago we had a guy in the area that while pulling on a breaker bar, pull the car off those cheap stands. Was a sad ending as you can imagine. I too have used those until I had the car rock back and forth a few inches. I had wood blocks as back-up, but it still scared the crap out of me.

If your going with the A-arms I would grab some better stands. Maybe some that have a dip in them so the car doesn't slip off them and create a significantly bigger problem.

There is a dip in them that fits perfect for the a-arms! When i had them on the k-member I just put som wooden piece's in the dips to have them flat..
