that's definatly the best looking cowl hood i have seen on these 4th gens, i have never liked them on these cars till this one, fitment looks ok, how is it in person, from the angles on the pics some look really great, some look just a touch off, (but that's just me being OCD) Looks great though, how much of a PITA was the install, how long did that take ya

did u have to trim the hood at all to make it fit? or did ya just plop it on there? then went on with the brackets? was it as hard as we thought it was gonna be? i should be doing mine soon...im worried

it was a big pain in the ***...butt i went in to it with patience...most of the time. it took two days and it still need a little adjusting.

truthfuly, it sucked ***. for one thing the hood isnt strait and neather is my car.yes i trimmed a 1/12 off the top of the hood.i started with 1" first. and used i digrinder with a cutting wheele.that was the easy part......

camaroracing12....dont buy the mounting bracket from vfn....thay sold me these strait brackets that you weld to your fender...ohhhhhhhhhh i have plastik fenders.. no sh*t......i had to go to the speed shop.or jegs has similar ones. jegs part #555-82270 ...i welded on two of my brackets on the front corner to get the bracket low as posible..ill try to post bracket pics to night..

no problem man. the hood looks mean.... told ya it is a royal PITA.... but there is nothing like the look of this hood man.....



i'm getting mine painted very soon. I wanted to make sure it didn't spider web around the dzus plates prior to getting it painted. tell your painter to put plenty of flex agent in the paint as well.... cuz these hoods are pretty flimsy....

Oh BTW, it looks like your missing one dzus plate down on each side.... i noticed 4 but you have a good distance in between the first one down near the headlight and the next one. any plan on installing one more?????

i have 5 dzus"s on each side and 3 up frount.total of 13... you cant see the second one up because of the reflection

ahhh okay you're right. i see it on the other side. man that glare is sumthing cause it makes it completely invisible on that side.....

nice job man especially with the trimming. i'd like to see how you did the fronts? did you do em with l-brackets like mine???
