Roller Rocker question...
I searched and couldn't quite find what I was looking for. I have the CC306 ( I know, I know) I do love it though. Anyways, I was going to do roller rockers as I have the stock rockers on now. My question is will 1.6 rockers and that cam work with the stock pistons? Is there any risk of valve/piston contact. I don't know what the max lift the stock heads/pistons will handle. Also what all is required? Just hardened push rods, NSA roller rockers and guide plates? There is no machine work involed correct? Thanks

You will be fine and theres nothing wrong with that cam at all. For that cam I would go the NSA route. Pick up some Comp Cams Pro-Mag NSA 1.6's (1305-16), some TFS Guideplates (30400623-8), ARP Studs (134-7103) and some TFS chromemoly pushrods. The length of the pushrods may or may not be the stock 7.200" so good to measure first.

going to 1.6 ratio will put more lift on the valve springs/valve train, I dont believe a 306 will affect piston clearance.
1.6 rr/ guide plates is a direct bolt on no mahcine work required.
Since you will have the pushrods out i would suggest swaping to hardened, and also check to see if your valve springs will handle the extra lift

I have all that mentioned above with a CC503 cam.
