Default v8 swap
so in another thread i let told u guys i was going to be swapping an lt1 into my v6 bird. so the motor has 61k when i drop the motor what should i do to it b4 i put in in the bird? i know i am going to add headers but should i change the opti? or any gaskets or seals? thanks

Best bet is to perform a tune-up, headers while your at it and a wp just for safe measure.

i would change the oil pan gasket,timing cover gasket and seals before you put it in cause there a bitch to do while on the car

what seals? just the timing seals? autozone.com says it 43 bucks for a seal y so much?

Go to Summit and buy a rebuild seal kit, should be like $60 but it comes with oil pan, timing cover, waterpump, distributor, front cover, rear main, just about everything you need.
