thinking about a new intake manifold
To the OP.......if you goal is only 450rwhp N/A stick with a stock intake. Get it cut, ported, welded......etc and you will be fine. If your goal is 500+rwhp N/A and you plan on spinnning the motor to 7500-8000 rpms the single plane or sheet metal is the better choice.
as said previously the i will be having the stock intake ported by Lyoyd Elliot when i get my heads and cam. and use that till i can learn the math to design my intake and build it.
even if its a flop and doesn't work i would enjoy the project
have it cleaned, decked .010 and honed.
may leave the stock motor in build a forged bottom so i dont have to do it later
Go take a look at this and take some notes. Hasnt been on a dyno or at least been posted up yet, but seems very interesting.
Were the issues simply tune related or fabrication and assembly related?
