new setup almost done, a few questions first well the car has been off the road now for about 8 months after i blew a headgasket and bent a pushrod, because i didnt have the money to tear it apart. Well after 4 months i decided to pull the motor and see what al was done. Turns out i tore the head gasket to shreds, bent 2 pushrods, broke 2 lifters, scratched the hell out of cam, and definetly made my heart drop. So i tored everything apart.
The new setup consists of...
new stock block bored .030 over
Forged JE pistons
Eagle h beam forged rods
Forged Scat Crank
stock oil pan
all new bearings
arp hardwear
Trick flow gen-x 195cc heads (fully assembeled)
trick flow push rods
cometic three layer metal headgasket
Single plane converted edelbrock victor jr manifold with stainless elbow
nitro dave fuel rails
bbk twin 58 mm tb
hooker long tubes
slp resonator
no cats
no muffler
42 lb injectors
2 step colder plugs
new gm opti
taylor wires
msd 6al box and blaster coil
Im sure im forgetting things but thats all i can think of off of the top of my head. My main question is what cam would you guys run? i plan on running 1.7 roller rockers, and the spec sheet for the headssay they are good for a 600 lift cam. who makes a 575-600 lift camfor the lt1? i wanna run a big of cam s possible, but im trying to squeez every ounce of power i can out of this setup, and i will be spraying it with a 150 shot. i dont wanna sound like every other person asking about what everyone thinks this setup will produce, but im thinking anywhere between 400-450 on motor, what do all of you think? it will be mated to a built 4l60e with a 3200 stall and 3.42 rear end. i have a full hotchkis suspension under it and 315 rear drag radials. i appreciate all of your help and i will be posting pics very soon!
