tune up

how do you guys do a tune on an lt1? i cant even see the spark plugs.

It's not very fun, but it is doable. The spark plugs are hard to reach, some are easier to reach from the top, some are easier from the bottom. Swivel head extensions make things easier. Also I would suggest putting the spark plug socket on the spark plugs first, then the extensions and wrench.
I run MSD 8.5 wires and NGK TR55 spark plugs.
One thing I would strongly advise is that if you are going through all of the work to access the distributor, I would replace the entire thing (with a AC Delco or Delphi distributor), not just the cap and rotor.
