feeling down about my lt1...
hey peoples...
been feeling kinda blue about my car lately, I have an old black 93 pontiac that im starting to tear into and i just dont know if i wanna do it. Help me get motivated again... about to throw my six speed swap in and then yank the motor out for a rebuild. was planning on a LE2 setup with some nice forged pistons and a 150 shot, all exiting thru some LPP long tubes into true duals but i dont know. I need some motivation, post up some LT1 **** or something people. Thanks

Elliot, you dirty, dirty boy....Those pics make me want to get...
NAUGHTY. See Batman if you do all of this work on your car it will be worth it because then everyone will want to be naughty with you. Guys and girls will flock to you. It is a win win situation...errr...well almost. I have LPPs, GMMG, Moroso CAI, vortech elbow, TB bypass, airfoil, hypertech 160* thermostat and a G-tech meter all just waiting to go on the car(minus the CAI and elbow which will soon be in my possession) . Lack of motivation does play some part in me not doing it, but I know the car will be SSSOOOO AWESOME after I do the work. THink about and picture the finished product
*Tantalizing voice*...now go to your happy place....no, no, not that place. the other one.....yes, that one..........find your power animal(is it a penguin, like in fight club??).........now get up........ go do work on your car!

I lose the will to work on my car when its under 50 degrees outside, if i had a shop i would take it apart for fun.lol.
NO matter how much of a bitch a project is, you get the satisfaction that you done it when you are finished.
If you have the parts get your *** out there and DO WORK. Thats my main problem i just dont have parts to put on my cars.

Here's some **** for the mind: Think about after the car will be done, ripping through the gears and burning rubber to the sound of some sweet V8 exhaust notes. Coming up next to a loud ricer in 5th on the road and dumping it into 3rd to drown out his bee's nest exhaust and then laugh as he tries to screw with you, turbo or not Having the peace of mind that you did all this yourself and didn't have to pay a shop (no offense AC lol) to do it. Every day having it come together more and more, itching to feel the power you're about to awaken in the new motor ^_^ Then the final day comes when it LITERALLY roars to life, and maybe just turn the idle way down and get a little lope out of it, to make it sound like a breathing beast lurking in a cave ready to strike on the unsuspecting sheep (imports) of the pavement plains
Help? heh If not, just feel good that you have the money to feed your passions for cars, as I haven't enough to do that, as much as I'd like to

hmm........i think that does help a little bit, but i think you guys kinda misunderstood where im at. I only have the 6 speed swap at this point. I still have to gather the rest of my parts. And thats gonna be a slow process i think. car needs to visit the paint booth too...maybe i just need to start chipping away at my wish list and start buying **** here and there. i dont know...damn black ls1 gto sitting at the dealership looks pretty good too, but id have to sell my bike to afford it so that would be a pretty drastic move. but its definetly possible
