F that GTO! You can have a 6spd H/C/I(fresh paint) car PAID OFF with a bike in the driveway!

Exactly, and why would you want an ugly GTO? I mean, unless it was a '66

And even if you only have the M6 swap, that's more than I have!!

Screw that LS1 GTO, the only good thing in that car is the LS1 & Harness for a swap, they are dogs.

Mine needs paint too, but I'm not complaining, it's not a show car..

I wouldn't dog on the goat as much as some of these guys...It is a classy muscle car, just not really my thing. You could have the best of both worlds(crotch rocket and muscle car) and have plenty of money to mod your TA and not have to worry about making payments.

go get yourself a decent cam, rear gears and then see what your LT1 feels like GTO's are nice and can be fast but there to heavy and Def not as pretty as any LT1

I guarantee you for the price of that GTO and your terrible trade-in, that you could easily keep your bike and have a new build shortblock with everything you want in there (including LE heads, full bolt-on's, wheels, tires, etc.)

I considered the same option.. but then I realized.. wow I can get my 97 T/A done SO MUCH CHEAPER and have it destroy that GTO I wanted with just the extra money I would pay to it

Don't give up on it. At times it is tough to pull the cash out of your butt for mods but its not that way all the time. Also if you keep your eyes open, sometimes there's good deals here and there and start setting you're self up for some mods or a full build. I'm going thru some a little bit of that myself. My Z has been down since August for exhaust leak. I finally got the heads out and got to working on the car. It will take long because when you work on your own you'll clean and do more than you have to but in the end its better.

you're worst case if you're having it rough with cash, you can always start tearing it down.

I got to thinking how much $ i poured into my LT1 already. Owned it 6 months and put more than what i paid for the car into it. I cant wait to do the 383 stroker tho. i love LT1s they sound so awesome.

Amen brother... My car looks like a rat next to the new sleds, but she runs those Goats down every Friday night...

What's the hardest part about runnin' a Goat? Getting them to stage up...
