a few LPP header questions i got them installed and had asked previously about what you guys were doing with the oil filter. alot said you removed the factory cooler. is this safe to do? i have a relocation kit and was going to mount it on the frame rail near the rad. what do you guys think? better to just remove the old cooler or mount it there?
Removing the cooler won't hurt a thing. Most LT1 owners don't even have the option (KC4) and there's no problem. I just bought my LPPs and plan on using a short filter (PF454) as that seems to be the only other option, short of the remote filter setup.
