TPS DLC code #122..why!?

Default TPS DLC code #122..why!?

starts, then dies. Throws TPS code 122 every time. Checked for 5v ref...good. Ohmed the other two wires to the PCM.....good. Replaced it with a spare still trows the code.

Monitor it with a scanner to help you see what is going on.

I have no access to a scanner other than a code reader.

You can get the right tools or keep guessing. A scanner is pretty much mandatory to work on a modern car.

It runs now, and started up and idled good, but now it idles high and is still throwing the code with 2 different sensors. It drives fine other than the high idle and the code. Right now I don't have a scanner, am way over the budget and won't have money for a fancy scanner for a while,( wish I did) I got past all the other problems without it and hope to nail this one too. Yes, I agree a scanner would be ideal, but I can't afford it. It will sit a long time if that is the only way.
