Default Trickflow guideplates causing my pushrods to not be straight?

Check out the picture. The left side pushrod is straight on all cylinders. The right hand side is leaning. They are all like this. Could it be the guideplates don't line them up properly?

Isky adjustables.
How are the rockers centered on the valves???

Sure folks recommend the Trickflows, but that does not necessarily make them right, I have not handled them but I have learned popularity does not make right.

The rockers are perfect on the valve. They have a good pattern. I read on CZ28 that it was ok. I'm assuming they are fine... haha

If everything lines up it's alright if they lean. If something is not lined up you can cut the guide plates in half and line everything up and weld the guide plate back together.

The Trickflows didn't work on mine. Isky adjustables are the way to be sure.

Now I'm pissed. I don't like the way that looks. I'll have to get the Isky guide plates.

I used the GM hardened guideplates and they line up perfectly.

14011051.

That's the p/n for ONE, so you need 8.

As suggested, get the ISKY "adjustable" ones. Leave rocker studs lose enough to slide them so the RR tip is CENTER on the valve stem then tighten the rocker studs. You "may" have to grind the ISKY ones or spread them apart.

The GM guide plates I did have were not "hardened" and did wear from the hardened push rods. The GM ones are one piece and like all one piece guide plates do not allow single RR adjustment from side to side.

After the ISKY's are installed you can tack weld them togeather...but I did not and they have been stable for years.
