Default LT1 Tuning..?

I just put a cam in my car and I still have stock heads/intake..
I need to tune this thing bad!

What would you recommend for tuning??
Dont really like the idea of a Mail Order Tune for a custom cam..

What are my options?

Default tuning

hi, if you are willing to travel a bit, corey henderson at henderson performance technologys can do an excellent job. his new shop is in new braunfels tx. the extra drive is worth it. he has tuned 2 of my cars and i have been very happy both times. i would do a few things before you tune regardless of where it is. replace o2 sensors, plugs, wires if necessary, basic tune up, oil and complete filter change, check all fluid levels, adjust valves, check for any exhaust leaks and intake leaks. if you use race fuel, take some with you and mix accordingly upon arrival. you may think of other things to do, but if you do these things, you will not have to pay your tuner to do the work and you will get the most out of your tune. i like the dyno tunes over the mail order tunes. also, take a video camera so you can enjoy the experience over and over again. hope this helps. see ya

Ed Wright over in Tulsa, well worth the trip. (www.fastchip.com)
I'll be there Friday actually

He's been treating me right for 10 years and you just can't beat his tunes.

Cam-only, you could probably get away with a mailorder tune from someone who knows what they are doing.
I've seen some pretty bad tunes come that way from tuners I expected a whole lot more from.
Drop Ed an email or PM and he'll get you set up. The man is brutally honest.

I have a PCMforless tune to hold me over till I get a dyno tune and the A/F was dead one and it hardly surges! I would reccommend Brain and Alvin to anyone to be honest, I even had a slight issue with my shift points (expected with a larger convertor) and Brain took care of within 30 mins. Keep in mind this was almost 1 month later while communicating through E-mail.
