Got it home. It needs a real good cleaning/in and out(seat covers would be nice) and has a few scratches, no biggie, it needs new tires wich is fine I already have 2 in the garage, it brakes are new and over all the body is pretty nice. It drove fine, tranny seemed good too.
Now the only thing that scares me about the car is there is a coolant leak somewhere. He wasnt sure but said it started right after they fixed the waterpump, when driving home I noticed the temp gauge wasnt working, got it home and popped the hood it was still really dark and hard to tell, but you could see alittle steam, and looked to be coming from the water pump area. I also noticed a little noise coming from the front PS valve cover. Kinda sounded like a loose rocker. so I have to check that out.
Im going to drive it and look at it tomorrow and let him know what my desicion is. I could probably get the car from him for alot less if i keep it or just give it back.
Heres a couple pics. Dont forget its winter here!!

Rowdy dont hate! Seems my boyz feel the same as me! Its a pretty sweet car 4 the $$ and I need a car to DD, my POS cav wasnt cutting it.
My main priority isnt being the fastest on the site and if you think for one minute you could do that from scratch, with all new parts for the money i spent your crazy.
Have a nice day!!!LOL~ LOL!

mmm Sooty, and that aint from winter

Oh, and if it has adjustable ride control, I want that WHOLE system too I really do wish I could somehow rig that system into my Firebird :\

Interior pics too, ya goon! It's hard to tell what you mean by "could use seat covers" from the outside

I wouldn't drive it though until you figure out where it's pissing coolant from, because if it's relieving itself all over your Opti, that's another $300+ he has to drop the price

Is the paint THAT dirty in that last picture on the bumper, or is it just the way the picture looks?

Its really really dirty & they use tons of salt here + its been sitting. but the paint is still pretty good once its all cleaned up. Ill wash it tomorrow and get ya some new pics!
He said it takes a few weeks for the Low coolant light to come on and I couldnt find any thing spewing just some steam coming from around the WP.?????
It really needs seat covers bad!!
Like I said its really dark and I couldnt look the entire car over except the 2 sec I stopped to grab those pics. Nothing is final yet its from a good friend and I could give it back if i decide to. Worste case I make a big deal about the stuff thats wrong, and get some money off the deal!

Could be with the sound I heard up front! I have all the replacement parts in the garage if need be. I cant wait to pull off the composite covers to check it out.

Man thats a good price. Looks like a good car with not too many problems but how much harder are they to work on than our cars?

Judging by the couple seconds I was under the hood it seemed way easier with more space to work.

Ill sell you my 94' intrepid for $2k and you can have a 'real' winter car. That thing looks and sounds beat up dude. Personaly 1 LT1 is enough, time to move on to something better.

Im not looking for just any car. Or a winter beater I wont make any money back on. This once I clean it up will be an easy trade in on a truck. I dont have the cash all at once and Im not financing anything. I got a deal worked out on paying my bud on the car so thats how its working out.
If I would of posted pics of it after I washed it and took them at the right angles. Everyone would think its super clean.

car looks pretty good man! but with that coolant leak id be VERY careful. id hate like hell to have that drip onto the opti causing that to crap out. but hey that means you could get it for just that much cheaper haha i think itd be the first corvette ive ever seen with snow tires as a DD during winter XD

I would buy that in a second for 4 grand. That thing could be pissing coolant out of the water pump and it's still worth it. How much is a water pump? Like 200-250 bucks? It's about 3-4 hours of labor taking your sweet old time.
