Default Dual belt conversion

Has anyone ever run their a/c system like on an LS1. I mean using 2 belts instead of one serpentine belt. I would like to keep my a/c during daily driving, but quickly be able to delete it for racing.

Isn't that what the AC clutch is for?
The LS1 has a two belt system for noise reduction, not power.

The AC clutch shutoff is programable in Tunercat. Far as I know all LT1 cars shut it off before 100%TPS. Since running beltless s worthjust .1 I seriously doubt just stopping turning the AC clutch would be worth the substantial effort of running a dual belt system.

The A/C clutch acts like an idler pulley anyway when the A/C compressor is off, so as mentioned it wouldn't do you much good (being that there is no load on the pulley).

Indeed, that clutch wheel spins insanely easy. If you've ever broken a belt on any vehicle, you probably notice that (assuming the AC was off at the time) clutch pulley is still going to beat heck long after heh If you've been fortunate enough not to have, it's quite amazing how long it'll keep spinning for. Depending on how many RPM the engine was turning, I'm talking minutes

So really it's no point in bothering.
