lt1 running low 11's???

lt1 running low 11's??? ok there was this ******* tonight with an lt1 camaro and he thought he was the ****. So we were all hangingout(my car buddies) and we almost got into a fight with this ******* and his friends but the question is he said that he runs low 11's with this lt1 of his. To me it just does seem possible. He said he's almost in the 10's umm idk about that. His mods are turbo 400 with 3500 stall and 3.42 gears with a 150 shot. He said that the motor was never opened up it is completely stock. Is this believable b/c i just dont seem it is possible?? We would have raced him but it would have been after we got out or jail for fighting this dude. Please put some inputs in
yea this all seems pretty legit to me. there are lt1s on this site that go low 11s with bolt-ons. i could be mistaken but i think the bolt on lt1 record is in the 11.3s? but these cars are heavily gutted and are running almost every suspension mod w/ slicks id imagine
I would say it's entirely possible. I went low 11's (11.21) on a 100 shot in a cam-only LS1 car with a 6-speed. Autos are a little faster than I was, so I could definitely see an auto LT1 with a 150 shot getting there.

The fastest bolton+spray Impala runs 11.3 on a 150 shot. So low 11s out of a sprayed f-body is completely believable.
LS guys are funny they think anything non-LS is slow, a few local sprayed LS cars have finished the quarter behind my NA stock shortblock whale of a car. I have been asked a LOT of times whether I am spraying, it's flattering.

Lt1s are very capable,had our 94 had some suspension mods like qa1s,
removed swaybar and skinnies up front it possibly could have run in the 10s..

steven, Not that I agree with the guy being an ***, But as a fellow LT1 owner I do believe what he is saying could be possible. However there is tons of variables. Cam Choice, Gears, weather, tires, Weight or there lack of, ect ect that will make or break some times.
My car is stock top and bottom end cam only car with full bolt-ons and supporting mods and is N/A and although Ive yet to test the waters at the track im confident that it will be putting down mid to low 12's on street tires according to others experience.
Not trying to talk trash about ur ride but if ur sig. is up to date than I believe that there are several LT1's that would beat you in the 1/4mi. Myself included

AGREED!!!! my v6 used to spank LT1's all day damn i think i did pull a LS or two lol. with minor bolt ons no spray or boost. be surprised when you can stall a V6 up to about 3500 and launch and pull on a SS the look on their face is ******* priceless!!!!!
