Ok, I bought a set of 4.10 gears and a Detriot locker from summit right when I got my car. Friend told me too. I'm wondering if I will be regreting it when I get them put in since I have an auto. Right now I just have CAI, shift kit, and bigger tb. I have bigger plans for the car though. I want a street car with a ton of horsepower. I plan on getting lt headers, already have a stall just need to install, Cam\heads, probably 383. What do you guys think about the 4.10's? that just going to be annoying or is it gonna be a problem? Won't my RPM's be high from the stall anyways?

i have 3.91s and a 3200 stall coverter. not that bad in OD on the highway. perfectly fine on the street. 4.10s would probably be real fun on the street but defintiely suck on the highway. since you've been in a car with 3.73s and thought you would like a little more gear go 3.90s.

ya, I normally drive around in drive cause I like the sound, I normally just put in OD when i'm on the highway. I have had the gears in my garage for like 4 or 5 months, I can't wait to get them in but trying to get a few big things together so I don't have to pay as much. I can do the small stuff myself. What about running out of gear? someone said something about that? is that a problem?

Daily driving and track testing lead me to switch from 3.73s and a 26" tire to 4.10s and a 28" tire...You'd think that the the taller tire would eat up the gear...Not so...I went from 119.75 mph to 121.18 and my 60's are now very consistent with the taller sidewall...I think for most n/a set ups thats the way to go...and I still get 20 mpg on the highway...and DD the thing everywhere...One of the best mods I've done to tweak my combo...
