There is one turbo v6 stang here that runs high 11s I do believe. No telling how much money hes got in it. My friend recently bought a 98, it has headers and a CAI and its about as fast as my car on ice.
Actually, I'm making my car a full bolt-on car first and have a buddy that is making his LS1 T/a a full bolt-on car, this doesn't include head's and cam, and we are going to see how they fully stack up against one another. So far we are at a dead tie, he has headers back with a tune, and i have mods in sig. Then, He's going to build his motor with a MS4, and I'm going to do a 4.7 whipple build!!! Should be hella fun!!!

Dos your buddy have a lid?
Full bolt-on to full bolt-on you will lose.
He gets his lid today, So it should be fun, even if I do lose, people will know how a full bolt-on S197 does against a full bolt-on LS1!!!

So I guess since you cleared up the V6s on the top of this page, why would the 98s these 2 guys own actually be somewhat fast (see: less then dog *** slow :jest) compared to all the others >_> o_0 Different transmission gearing in 98?
Yes, they walk all over them. A 3.4 will easily outrun a 3.8 single port sixxer (94-98). I raced one with my old '94 Camaro with 5speed. I was bone stock, and he had intake and exhaust, with a 5speed. He got the hit, from a dig, and I passed him when I hit 3rd. And turns out, my car was only running on 5 cylinders. God the 3.4's were junk. The 99-04's(split port induction) were a little bit better though, and were almost a driver's race with a 3.8 Camaro. But, 9 times out of 10, a 3.8 Camaro would still take one.

^^^^A 3.8 Camaro would be a decent run for a 94-98 GT. I'd still put my money on the GT. Give the Camaro a couple bolt-ons though, and it could get real interesting. Course if the Fbody has a manual, and the GT has an auto, my money could be on the Fbody. The AOD trannies in the Mustangs are junk. A manual is probably almost a full second faster in the 1/4, than an auto.

I dont know guys once again, I must of just bought some factory freaks, but i also had a 97 gt that had a 140k on the clock, and only had a drop-in K&N with a standard and 2.73 gears and i pulled a 11.86 1000' at 86.5mph. I could only get my gt now to do a 11.81 at 86.4 stock. So IDK
Well, that sounds good till you find out it's 320ft short of a 1/4 strip heh So a 12.74 I see is doing 10.80 in the 1000', so yours is about 14.3-.5 then I'd guess. I say higher due to that car being faster and more powerful, so down the track farther he's gaining even more speed, where as a slower less powerful car is going to gain speed but not at as fast of rate. So while 14s is decent for the 6, it's not for a new 8, unless your previous GT was also an 8 (I thought all GTs were V8s). In which case then I guess if a 14 anything is a "factory freak" for a Mustang V8 >_>
