You've have jsut described my scenario, no need to rush either. I think the lengthiest part is cleaning the gasket material off the water pump. But I just might be fortunate enough to have it come off in one piece seeing that it was off just last year.

Ouch man. I figured it would last a little while before it failed. You said you've done it many times, but I'll still ask, are you sure it's indexed correctly and all of the wires/connections are on properly? If so, lesson learned I guess. Try thepartsladi for a new one.
