This is the first time I've heard that someone doesn't like the sound of catless tru duals...
ohhh u know what the problem is? its dumped, u get lots more resonance that way because the sound doesnt flow all the way to the back. If i were u I would try to extend it past the axle and see how u like it. Just an option...

You need to post a vid of your exhaust. This is what I really want to do to my exhaust. Oh, and ditching this exhaust for a GMMG is a bad idea IMO. A powerstick muffler is the same as a gmmg muffler.

you could always angle the dumps outward and that will clear up alot of the resonance and interior noise
my buddy did that on his true duals with bullets and the thing sounds as smooth as a regular catback
as for the powersticks I believe they have a little bit more of a glasspack type sound, pretty much a bullet will sound like a bullet imo
maybe magnaflow ovals, borla xr-1's, or spintechs might help

check lt1engine.com
lots of soundclips of true dual setups so maybe you can get an idea of what muffler you might want to swap to
I know about the too loud getting old thing, had my fun with that then realized pissing off everyone whereever you go, not being able to go anywhere at night without waking up everyone, people assuming you think you're a hardass because you have a loud car, not being able to talk on a phone or to the person next to you, etc can get old after a while on a car you drive often
