ok i will be picking one up tomarrow. i have a 6al and a msd coil shoul i put them on the car?

The coil wouldn't hurt, but keep the 6AL out of the picture.

whats the reason to keep the 6al out? i dont mean to be a pita but what shouls oil psi be? i put a mechanical gauge on and got 50 cold and 18-22 hot, it seems low to me....im new to lt1s so just bare with me....

Your oil pressure is fine.

Don't put the 6AL in until you know everything else is fine. You'd just be adding another variable into the equation. Once you have the problem fixed, by all means go right ahead.

thanks man, will the 6al do anything. most people say yes or no? what psi should i be worried about? i have autometer and it reads 50 cold 18 hot and drops around 10psi idle hot. mechanical gauge said 18 hot all the time thoe.

i have a 6al on my car and its ok,your not going to notice a night and day difference from it though.i just like it because i can change my own rev limiter and i run an msd launch control that works off the 6al

yeah its nice to just switch the chip to what ever you want!
