Nobody. You have to send an SBC one somewhere to get converted or buy one from a specialty shop. They pop up from time to time in the classifieds if you look long enough.

It's easier to machine the heads to accept SBC intakes than the other way around.
But I have heard from more than one person that a vortec can be made to fit without much work.
I have not tried it or dug any deeper though.

with factory style heads, that dual plane will be more than enough.

You cant just modify the intake. You need to modify the heads also. The inner to bolt holes on the LT1 heads will not work with a carb style intake as the runners make a turn towards the center of the intake unlike the stock manifold that has straight runners. The nice thing is the bosses for the holes are already cast into the LT1 heads they just need to be drilled and taped. For the outer 8 holes it is easyest to re drill the intake.

so should i order the super victor intake for a sbc or for the vortec heads some people where telling me the vortec intake needs less modification to work with lt1 heads is this true?

I am not for sure. I know for a fact that the runners on a standard SBC intake will match up with the runners on the LT1 head, as this is what I run on my car.

I have only seen a few vortec intakes, but if I remember correctly the runners on the vortec heads are raised slightly over the LT1 ports. I think the reason that some may think the vortec intake would be easier to modify is because the bolts are designed to go straight down and run into the intake at an angle similar to the LT1 intake. From pictures that I can’t tell of the bolt holes are in the same location as LT1 heads. Also im thinking that the vortec intakes actully have less bolt holes.

I would say your best bet is to go with a standard SBC intake.
